Unrelated mostly to the game, I've been working on training neural networks to generate music, using some approaches others have published. Most recently I've been training them to generate video game music.
While not all the neural network's outputs are good (some of the songs are quite repetitive and bad), here's a short playlist of ones I've liked:

I'm considering bundling the network into the game and have it generate unique 30 sec to 1 min songs for each civilization in the game.
Each civilization would then play its national song to you each time you contact its embassy. (although every time you create a new game, you'd get new songs never played before.)
If I do this, I'll have to add an option for the player to respond with something like "Never insult me with this horrible music again" and volume controls for the case where the network generates a poor output (automatically detecting low-quality songs is not trivial to do...)
The network sits at around 265Mb. Which I feel like might be a lot since it may not add that much to the game, but I don't know, what do you think?

I saw the videos, and if i don’t like the musics by themselves, the process to make them is quite amazing.
